    Alternative to Photoshop

    Hi Everyone,
I'm a software developer with in interest developing graphics.... can anyone suggest a good intuitive tool other than photoshop ?

Everytime I try to use photoshop I want to pull every last hair out of my head.... it just seems so non-intuitive to me ... is it me ?

There are other tools. But, why give up on the best tool?

    I suggest researching photoshop tutorials,
and working through them. Muddle through, pull out your hair, scream and kick, but learning is learning. There arnt many programs which can do what photoshop does, and be 'intiutive'.

How can you speak such evil?

The only problem I every have with Photoshop is that other people tutorials are not comprehensive enough. The program itself is so straight forward compared to say Flash, i'd go so far as to say its the greatest invention since the wheel.

you can try a free prog called Gimp

    http://www.gimp.org/

but i would stick with photoshop, once u learn a few bits you will find it by far the best app out there, it is reasonably hard to get into (same as driving a car/riding a bike for the first time) but once u get into it u will see its one of the best
