    Hi,

I recently made a short flash movie with a pre-loader, and I've pre-tested it with streaming and everything seems to be fine. The movie loads up perfectly in netscape, but it won't come up in explorer, it just continues to load forever. Anyone have any ideas?

    thanks,
    skyroger

Is there a url that we can see? How about the fla? It may be a server issue. the other thing it could be is if the ie browser has the old player. Regards, Bill

Just checked it out and it ran fine. What I think it might be is your file size. I am on a cable modem. If you have a lot of raster images in the file it could be the problem. You may want to make the sections seperate swf's that load on demand. Regards, Bill

i tried it on a different server, and it seems to work ok now. i originally tried using separate swfs and loading and unloading them as necessary, but i ran into the problem of a swf not loading up in time before the button for it appeared. also, is there a way for me to change those raster images to vector without losing quality, or should i just stick with the jpg compression in flash?

    thanks,
    skyroger
