How do I make fractions on the computer?
Is there a way to type fractions on the computer (ie., within Word)? I know I can just write 3/4, but I wanted to know if anyone knew how to make them actually display as fractions. Thanks!
If someone knows of other freeware that can do this easily that's ok too.

What do you mean, "display as fractions"?

Having the numerator actually be placed on top of the denominator, with a horizontal line in between them. Something to the affect of this:
3
---
4
My best attempt.

How to type fractions in Microsoft Word:
1. Type Fraction (i.e. 1/2)
2. Press Space bar.
Hope that helps.

Yeah, I knew that one, I need to make more complex fractions though. For example:
2*(a + b)
---------
4*(c+d)
So that the portions on the fractions are on top of each other. Is there some sort of math program I can download for this?

Upon further review:
Apparently, Word only formats the fractions 1/2, 1/4, and 3/4. Sorry...

I plan to live forever or die trying
In the newer versions of the program, just click insert>object and select Equation Editor (I think it's something like that)
That enables you to create complex math equations

Hey there, long time no see - I've always remembered you from your title.
Yeah, I figured out the whole equations thing - I have a whole equations toolbar which is quite powerful (and useful as well!). Thanks for all the help guys.
