Calling all desktop publishers

I didnt know where to post this but-

I'm doing an assignment for media and I need to research a certain field *I chose Desktop publishing*. Any way I was wondering if anyone could

a) answer my questions in anyway you can (must be credible information)

or

b) direct me to a site that I could get a better response

here are the questions:

this is gonna take a while...

a. Describe the medium communication chain that is established to send and receive messages from this medium

b. What type of messages are therefore suitable for this medium and where/how are they recieved.

c. Discuss the form/structure of the medium.

d. What styles are used to present these messages

e. Does the audience always receive the message the medium intended them to receive? why?

f. How does the medium attempt to decide whether their message was received accurately?

4. Detail some of the genres used by this medium and their characteristics.

6. How does this medium bring in money? (Advertisiing, subscriptions) How does this restrict the medium?

7.Are there codes of Operations or legal considerTIONs to which the medium must comply? How does this effect the content of the programming?

8. What sort of technology has affected this industry and how?

Ok so if you could help me on any of the questions would be much appreciated

p.s. It is going to be an oral presentation so does anyone have an idea to make it that little bit extra?
