Hi
i posted a query on movie clips few days ago. (Subject: Tell Target... maybe?)
thanks for the reply, but umm... I'm more confused now....
Perhaps I need to explain what I have so far...
2 symbols made as movie clips, mc1 and mc2.
mc1 is an animation with 50 frames.
mc2 is also an animation with 30 frames.
Scene 1:
layer 1, keyframe 1, I place mc1 on stage.
layer 2, keyframe 1, 1 place mc2 on stage, then change behaviour into an instance of a movie clip called blink.
There are no actions assigned at this point. Please help.... help.... help....
thanks

First question? why dont you just put the second animaiton in the first movie clip so its all one file?
Any way if you must do it seperate here it is
In the first movie clip put a tell target command in the last frame that tells the second movie clip to goto frame 2 and play.Then.
Put a stop action in the first frame of
your second movie clip. Make sure there is nothing in the first frame so you cant see it on the stage while the first movie clip plays.
Now what you need to do is make an invisible counter.
Make a movie clip with 12 keyframes in it.
In the 1st frame put a stop action
In the 2nd to the 11th frame put a tell target command that tells the second movie to goto frame 2 and play.
In the 12th Frame put a stop action.
Now in the 2nd movie put a tell target command in the last frame that tells the
new movie clip you just created to goto next frame.
This will make the movie run 10 times and then stop. Regards, Bill
