Insomnia :: How I hate thee!
I have not been able to sleep these last four days at all...
I sometimes get these insomnia spells where I can't go to sleep - trust me, one is documented here when I didn't sleep for over 90 hours and near the end, I was going nuts due to all of the caffeine - but this time.. it's just annoying.
I mean... hell. I've even played some Enya trying to go to sleep!
...arghh...

I can add you into the conference call I'm on. Although you most likely will find it one of the funniest things you have heard. And that won't help will it.

Here's a wild idea: lay off the caffeine.
(this may not be an immediately useful suggestion depending on your position in the IT world, but having sex will usually put us men into a nice deep, restful state)

I believe i read that insomnia is also a lack of good sleep as well as a lack of any sleep.. i get about 4 to 3 hours of sleep a night.

Read a book..tires the eyes...do some house work...physically tiring...excersise before bed....fresh air good for sleep...sex is also good before sleep..and enjoyable...

Exercise always helps. Go run a couple of miles every day, and try to stay up and active during the day. Get up from your computer every hour and do some pushups or something.

Whip out your black book, make a couple of calls and you'll be asleep in no time... i can agree with that...
other whise try meditating... just release everythought from your mind go into an internal slumber... just chill... put on d'angelo and chill... you'll sleep.
and yeah lay of the coffee and try drinking some hot milk instead....
Two years ago i was suffering from this too... and well i slept very irregularly too but you just need to take time out to go to sleep...
The work you have to do will be done better if you have rested and slept well so just leave it as it is and SLEEP.

I wonder how many hours each day gerbick spends on his computer, the comp is the worst offenders for interupting sleep patterns, too much activity in the brain at bed time is not condusive to sleep.

I have not had anything with caffeine in 2 weeks.
The caffeine episode was when I rediscovered my patented Mountain Dew-cchino...
yes kids... cappucchino brewed with mountain dew poured into dark roasted coffee. a shot of espresso into coffee is called a "shot in the dark", btw.

Maybe you should toss out the caffeinated soap?

have a friend put the sleeper hold on you....just make sure he lets go at the right time as to not cause brain damage. and once you are unconcious may be you'll just keep sleeping for hours and hours (or for the rest of your life..... )
