It doesnt matter if they are a kid or not. If a product is good, it wont make a difference whether you're 45 or 9. But I also remember D and J posting something a little while ago that 'he made a 3D engine' which ended up being just a fla from a website that he just changed some colors around. Im not trying to bash anyone...but I mean with previous posts like that, a sig that says "Fook You", and the info link that just gives you the price, and not the product does not give you a good chance to sell anything. Besides this is a game developing community...people here usually sell their services, not hire others'.

but isn't it our right to bash people that give us a bad name? After all, don't we all want to be considered artists and not con-artists? Let's separate the wheat from the chaff, and leave these decayed-opportunists in the dust.

i think the other guy from D&J actually helped out the forums a little...he wasnt so bad. Posting that engine saying it was his, then somebody, either pred or mbenney pointed out that it was just an already known one with changed colors. I dont see what you mean by flash developers being con-artists though. I really dont know who looks at us like that.

Well, I don't think we have the right to bash people who make us look bad, but people who download flash, and follow a tutorial building a game, and then say "This is the best game ever" and try to sell it for money (I'm not talking about this 3k engine, I have no idea what it is) deserved to be bashed.

Simply because 3 of the 4 posts on their messageboards are about them getting amazing deals.

We just got the job of doing the pixel shaders for Lucasarts even tho lucasarts have inhouse developers.
