    imported jpg resolution

hi - hope this is the right place for this post...

i have a jpg image at about 95% quality of a snowy landscape with some very subtle shades of blue-white.
when i import it into flash (MX) the resolution takes a dive and the image is broken up into zones of colour.
is there some way of pushing the image quality back up to that of the original ?
    thanks
    Bob

This is a bug but can be solved by making the image into a movieclip and set its alpha to 99% ( sounds strange but gets the bands out of the jpg ). Or make a big rectangle movieclip that covers the stage and set its alpha to 0% ( so all images are beneath it (layers).
