A weapon that isnt Cliche??
Can anyone think of a good weapon to give your main character that isnt overused in so many games?? I dont think we need another game where your character uses a sword... I was thinking of going with a mace possibly? spear?

> a refrigerator (i've seen a movie with a cannibal refrigerator)
> a catapult
> a fog (it surrounds the enemy and kill him)
> an umbrella (remember some kung-fu movies)
> a controlled little car that throws bombs. you have to kill enemies before they reach you
> some shuriken (i love ninjas ^^)
> a boomerang (weeeeell, it's not so original but you can end up with something tactical here)
> put some traps on the floor
etc... etc...

The drill remark made me think of when Mr Burns holds a Drill to Hans Moleman's head in an attempt to "get his lucky charms"

Ive always liked bows if your looking for a regular weapon o choice or maybe a cat-o-nine tails?
But then again some stranger choices would be maybe:
A Limb *Beat someone down with an arm*
A rake
beer bottles
a mouse *comp mice hurt...i've been whipped so many times...people don't appreciate art*
shrunken head bazooka
you get the point

a voodoo doll! that is so great, and it has never been done! wow.
about my idea with the controlled car, the concept is interesting:
on the screen you have a character that controls one of these little guided cars, that holds some bombs. you are surronded by enemies that try to catch you. so, you control the car (and not the character, that run sometimes a little bit around, depending the enemie's position) and put the bombs in front or near the enemies, in order to stop and kill them. of course, when the enemy reach you > game over. AND don't forget to put the bombs on the floor quickly, or your little contolled car may explode.
what do you think, mmmh? ^^

i dunno if you heard of this, but in a game called "Ape Escape" for
the ps1, later in the game, you unlock a radio-controlled car
which you can steer to chase and scare and maybe knock out the
monkeys (dont ask...). is that what you all are talking about?
oh, it doesnt carry bombs, you can just run into the monkey to KO it...

i know ape escape, but i only played a demo though...
jide pointed out a dog as weapon. it reminds me so much SHADOW DANCER, GENESIS. excellent game.
note, the first time i played that game, i finished it without using the dog. i simply didn't know how to use it

Remember Crono Cross? That one character had a guitar. I thought that ruined the game. It was gay, I mean you attack and kill monsters with a guitar. Oh well Squaresoft must have smoked a few before making that game. Any way my ideas...

So ur looking for realistic eh... How about a gun that shoots out chinese people as ammo. Then you could give the guy a farm ala Harvest Moon to grow more ammo (chinese people). But then he'll get too much ammo and they will take over the world.
Or maybe one of those old western revolvers. Havent seen that in a game for a while...
