    No Anti-Alias Verdana

Does any one know how to make Verdana not Anti-Alias and still embed the font within the swf. I know if you set the font to map to the system font it will not Anti-Alias but is there something else that I am missing. If you have any ideas please post a FLA. Thank You

You can try setting the textfield property to Dynamic Text and use integers for the x and y positions.

Hmmm, i see what u mean - the textfield looks fine if u don't embed the font but gets anti-aliased when u do
But why embed Verdana? Its a standard font...why not just select the user's default sans serif font?

If you are to embed veranda then you'll usually need 14pt or above
    for clarity.

As for sans as a device font(PC) usually it's arial for pc's
I'd say look around for a pixel font.

A pixel font for veranda will be tough to pull off though

Hmm... That PixFont utility from Kgroup looks very interesting. I'd like to speak to someone who's actually used it though, I find it hard to believe that it does exactly what it does on the tin...

i've used it. it does what it says.
Not all the fonts come out terribly good, though, you have to experiment fonts and sizes
I think they have a trial there for download.
