hi guys,

i was wondering if you could fill in a few questions of mine about the amazon.co.uk site.

what scripting language and techniques does it use of for its:

dynamic search engine and database,
recommendations,
etc...

its really a simple site but its underlying structure is quite extraordinary.

Any help guys...am really interested in your views.

It looks like it is written in its own custom backend (not just JSP or PHP).

Everything is dynamically generated, my guess is that there is a big backend server that spits out all of the content for Amazon.
