I think the CD should have more image, and focus more on the performer. There's a lot of unused space. Then again, perhaps you were going for that minimal feel?

I think I would, at the very least, place more emphasis on the artists
name. I'm assuming it's 'NOTHIN.MAN'...you don't want to leave your audience guessing about that. I would devote the space above & below your image to your artists name.

Also, just a thought, the 'N.I.P. Productions Presents' is a little odd for a CD. In my experience, it's not common for a production company to recieve billing on a cover. However, this might just be their arrangement. Club Flyers use this technique. Wondering if this is the type of music?

    Looks good.

you have good design sense -- did you go to school? i would enlarge the faces image bar just a little and push it up. use the photography rule of thirds, i.e. draw an imaginary grid of 9 boxes and have the focus point (the faces image bar) centered where the corners of the boxes in the grid meet. where you have it now is just shy of that. push it up just a little bit.

if u move the text on top to the middle and "presents" to the middle too, that may be better..

    [TheSmaug] + [Nionicle] + [CDP Design] = [SHIFT9]
