not to get into a huge discussion here (not the purpose of this thread), but yes...for static text you can use the line tool. but not for input text. we do a lot of software simulation, and i just ran into an instance where the user is supposed to type the word 'Total', but the formatting is set to underline in the software I am simulating. i'm sure there is a way to dynamically draw a line underneath the word based on character count, but who has time to figure that out.
Ah, these boys is all swelled up. So this was earlier...getting set to trade. Then, woooaaah differences. Blog ¤ Photos ¤ Book

To help new members fit into Flashkit, three rules they forgot to tell you on signup: Rule #1: Learn Group Think, and behave accordingly | Rule #2: Do as certain Mods say, not as they do. | Rule #3: If you're from outside the US, don't at any time criticise, allude or hyperlink to criticism of the US or any of their laws, policies or practices. | Enjoy your time at Flashkit!

Shape>Soften Fill Edges? It's like a blur. And short of redeveloping their method of dealing with shapes, I think any sort of blur would cause the file size to shoot up tremendously.
I'd like to see the same feature I've been asking for since v.4 - a way to stroke paths with different brush types, like in Illustrator. Basically, varying line weights without having to convert lines to fills.

Haven't used the program, but we're probably talking about the same thing.
There's 2 types of brushstrokes in Illustrator - a pattern brush, which will basically either stretch a vector shape along your path or repeat an image along it, or the more customizable calligraphic brush, which would be perfect for what I'm looking for (see below).
It would be a great goodwill gesture toward animators, who have all but been ignored in the rush toward applications, applications, applications.
Note: Screenshot is from Illustrator, not flash. Sadly.
