    XML from a string

    Hi,

    I have been reading XML file to show some data in my flash so far. My asp page creates a XML file on the server and i specify the file name in my src tag - something like this myflash.swf?xmlsource=getVal.XML

    Now is there a way I can read the XML information without having to store the XML on the server. I mean can i have it read the XML from a variable on the ASP page ?

    something like this:

    < = ! (doens't allow me to right tags so using ! instead of < )

    VarData1="!mydata> !newUser> JOhn !/newUser> !newAge>20!/newAge> !/mydata>"

    any ideas on this is welcome.

    thank you

    I am not 100% sure what your question is, but most scripting languages will let you output XML instead of html. The URL does not need to end in .xml

    Thanks

    well instead of reading from a .XMl file can i read from a .ASP file a XML String .. something like this

    < = ! (doens't allow me to right tags so using ! instead of < )

    VarData1="!mydata> !newUser> JOhn !/newUser> !newAge>20!/newAge> !/mydata>"
