    Unhappy

I made a symbol and used the text tool to insert a word. Now i used the symbol in a motiontween but i want ik to fade. Like always i tried a rightclick to get access to the properties tab but now there isn't a properties tab only the options: font and paragraph...
what did i miss to get options tab to change the color effekts back.
I think it's simple and a tipical newbie problem but somehow i can't fix it :-( please reply i'll be checking this message every minute in order to get on with my movie. Thanx for those who answer this question.

    oke but then what?
    (i am a newbie don't forget that :-)

    This is what i did:
    i clicked on insert>>>new symbol
then in the new symbol screen i pressen the texttool and started writing for example HELLO. then right clicked that one and past it into the scene in a keyframe ....
    that's all i did :-)

you can assign motion to text but not color effect. So, pope is right, you have to redo it again.

Just delete all the motion and the rest of the keyframe(leave the first keyframe with text alone). Then select that first keyframe(with text) and press F8 (on PC) to convert the text into symbol.

After that, you can assign color effect to it.

    Hope this help.
