Button State Question - Macromedia Presentation

    http://www.macromedia.com/software/mx/presentation/

Want to create a menu similar to the one that is on the presentation, but having some issues with the button states that are involved in keeping the menu up while moving over the other buttons.

I need to get back into the Flash 'mindset' been away for a while...

Any suggestions on how this works would be greatly appricated.

    Thanks!
    Shawn

I wouldn't use the "states" of the button...they are too limiting...use Action Script on the buttons and tell the menu to stay open when the mouse is over the buttons...

If you can post the FLA, i'll take a look at what you have & try to explain better...it's hard to explain without seeing how you have it set up...

well, you could put an invisible button behind the other buttons...but you need to remove the lighter gray box behind the darker gray box first...otherwise it will cover the invisible buttons...

then put the AS on the invisible button that calls the the menu to appear...

I attempted to do that before and had little luck..

It wouldn't allow for the function to work..
