too bad, my host is down. i had a very complete fighting game open source there; it has of course a MC with interactive animations (is that what you mean by swaping MCs?)

by complete open source i mean:
    > movment, attacks, hitTesting, lifebar, interactive impact effects etc...

maybe somebody in these forums is hosting that file right now (last version = 1.5) and may post it here? as i said my host is down...

or give me your mail, i'll send it to you directly...

Ok, I don't mean to affend anyone or anything, but I personally think books are worthless because:
    A) They are damn expensive.
    B) They contain information which can easily be found online.

A lot of people overlook one of the most useful sources of information, Flash itself. Flash5 and FlashMX's reference is probably the most useful tool. Flash also usually gives you Tutorials and Samples, which can also be useful at times. Another good resource is FlashKit

[sorry about the bad condition this post is in, I had to rewrite it, and that makes me angry]

Well it may be a good book, but I see no reason in spending good money on something that can easily be learned absorbed and put to use for $0.00.

I kind of agree with lukstr, the flash mx reference and a bit of imagination are by far the most important tools you need.
If you really want to learn something, the best way is to take it slow, and make lots and lots of mistakes. Then hopefully you will make a lot less later on when its more important.

I agree, flash help files are an excellent resource. Even when you think you are good they still come to the rescue
