    Any one of the below will work.

    Solution 1. Go into Display Properties,change your color and/or resolution under the Settings tab,then change them back.

    Solution 2. Delete the shelliconcache file(it is a hidden file,and you may need to put a check in "show hidden files and folders" via Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab),then reboot.Windows will recreate it.

    Solution 3. Boot to Safe Mode,then reboot to Normal Mode.

    Solution 4. Download TweakUI (there is a icon rebuilder plus all kinds of cooool things for windows)

    Send your Ninja Spidermonkeys into space. Have them capture the leader of the Intergalatic Icon Snatching Moles.

    Bring him to your lab. Hold him ransom with your Super Giganta Ion Beam. That is their weakness. They will give your icons back.
