    How are television effects made?

    How are television effects made they must be mutch more advanved then Flash it's been around for years what do they use for making there effects for adds , film , ect. They must have some simular program then flash. Surely there a long way ahead. Can't we learn something from Television and how they done things in the past.

    Programs such as adobe after effects, adobe premiere, probably some flash, 3dsmax (and other 3d programs), etc..

    They use special hardware that can do many special effects in realtime.

    Adobe after effects

    Programs such as adobe after effects, adobe premiere, probably some flash, 3dsmax (and other 3d programs), etc..
    This is the best i know of

    Hehe remember that hardware for the AMIGA... what was that called again? They used it on some sci-fi series didn't they?

    A lot of TV companies have their own in house stuff.

    Well if I remember rightly Lightwave was used for B5 (that Babylon 5 to you none initiated ) and there was a dodgy as hell programe called Seaquest DSV that keeps being repeated on SciFi they used something Amiga Based.
    It was an Amiga4000+ tohugh - nicely running AmigOS 4.54

    I think it was lightwave too

    I think the Amiga cersion was a HUGE box that plugged in via the expansion card slot on the back - like the ones they ahd on the C=64.

    i doubt premiere is used at all...that's dirtass video editing software, not for effects...

    a lot of production houses will use discreet's tools, which include inferno, flame, flint, and combustion...
