    send email (movie in a movie)

    Hi all,

    here is a thing I don't understand:
    I want to make a button clickable so that a new outlook email letter pops up. This is what I did:

    on (release) {
    getURL("mailto:receiver@unforgettable.com", "_blank");
    }
    But the button is in a movie, which in turn is embedded in another movie clip. And it does not work. The button does react when I hover over it, but nothing happens when I click it.

    argh.

    Why are you using "_blank" ?

    This works for me no matter how deep it's nested in movie clips...

    on (release) {
    getURL("mailto:receiver@unforgettable.com");
    }
