quinners: hardcore fight sequence/characters! I especialy enjoyed the wooshing and zooming.

I felt a slight breeze of inspiration/skill come over me.. So I animated something else.. I'm only really pleased with the aesthetics of the two twisty scenes.

xup: If and when I win the lottery, I plan to devote a good chunk of my winnings to funding a full length production of suit/ms.

Wow twisty, I liked it! I need to learn how to do some good frame by frame. Anyways, you seem to be on a role.

thanks, I got that idea from the hospital scene in foolycooly.

Right now I'm animating a fight scene between suit and superman.. I'm not great with body positions, so I've got to find pictures to reference certain positions. But I think I'll have something presentable done either by tonight or tomorrow.

I've tried doing that actually. Didn't work out very well... But I've actually used my expired swift 3d tryout in order to make blocky human figures in various poses.. I just do a screen shot and basically draw the picture over it.

Here's what I've got of suit vs superman so far.. It's not great, but it's alright.

It's just different from your others. I liked the multiple camera angels... the difference is that there is a lot less frame by frame. It's mostly tweening.

I got great reviews (though not a great score) at newgrounds. Seems people who don't review vote bad. Oh well. I'm thinking about draggin on this series of little bubbley guys. But I need another idea for the next one. The last one got a lot of good reviews for it's style and origininality so I want this one to be something noones ever seen.

I suggest sadistically detailed brutal violence.. It's always funny to watch innerds and blood pour out of simple shapes. But yeah, I do like the style of that character, it'll be cool to see whatelse you do with it.

yeah.. I think I used a little too much tweening. I'm trying to find that happy medium.. I'm trying to match the quality of my 4th sleeky cartoon "turtles and desperation". That was the one I tweened the most in, and in my opinion, it was the best of the 5.

    Hey quinners,

Tell me about newgrounds. Is that a worthy place to get feedback on stuff? Any catches to submitting? Do they host the file or just link to your own server?

Fiddlesticks: I thought the multiwindow action was cool. Reminds me of that tv series called 24.

Newgrounds is probably the biggest flash portal out there. In the first 15 minutes after submitting my movie I recieved 209 votes and 15 reviews. They host the file on their server and everything, though the pop ups arn't bad (theres only one when you click on to view a movie) the porn banner adds can get a little iffy. I reccomend submitting you work their, because if it gets good reviews or, for example, frontpage honors, your sure to get a lot of exposure for you, your work, and your site.

The reviewers at newgrounds seem to love it! I change my mind, it's not a good place for feeback, it's a great place. But don't get me wrong, people don't just automatically praise your work, but if you want large ammounts of feedback deffinately go there. I recieved a three paragraph review from somebody showing strong points and weaknesses along with future ideas for a series. I don't know why I didn't submit there before.

    Hey Quinners,

I submitted my Defender cartoon over at newgrounds. I've gotten some great comments! Cool place. However, one dude slightly accused me of stealing the cartoon, saying he had seen it somewhere else. I told him all the few places it can be found.

Of course, some of the reviewers aren't even flashers I don't think so it's kind of hard for them to appreciate the work that goes into this stuff. So many people assume that since it's done on a computer we don't have to do much of the work. I guess they think we speak at the computer and say "I want an elephant running over a hill" and we get "WORKING....."... "YOU'RE ANIMATION IS COMPLETE."

    hehe

    later.

Yes, but if you think about it, when a movie is put to theaters, and everyone goes to see it, were not all directors or producers, yet our criticism is still accepted. And yes, there are those few who don't realize how hard flash can be....

When I turned up the volume to watch that, I didn't realize it at the time, but atom heart mother happened to be playing in winamp, so it matched the animation perfectly. Good stuff. Especially when listening to pink floyd.
