Quit reposting. I don't know what you've updated, but the link is exactly the same each time you post saying 'it's updated'. You can only edit your posts for an hour after you make them. After that you no longer have access to them.

    Nice animation.
Maybe work a bit more on the story next time, though. It seemed kind of random and I had a hard time following it. Keep up the good work.

Just finished my first Maya animation project, which we had to do an animation synched to sound. Chose Gorillaz "19-2000", or the first 11 seconds of it, at least

arikb, hey that's pretty awesome that you made your own character and rigged it, then animated it! Looks like the rig's really solid. Holy cow. rigs are such a pain O.o kudos to you!!! Even looks like the skirt thing moves with indicated knees too
Your flash walk cycle looks a bit like a rock-out headbang; I like the style and design to your robot, haha... and cool animated line drawing with the lion!!!

Here's my animation final for my Maya class.

There are some schools that teach animation. You can go to one of these, or you can try getting a light table with a book such as "the animator's survival kit" and do what you see there. That book is like the bible for animation. You would still need some way to photograph or scan the pictures and put them in succession if you want to see it in real time.

Useful information about innovative illustrations. I usually browse the web to find out the creative illustrations. Recently I came across amazing illustrations in the site called http://www.illustartionweb.com, thought this information would be useful.

    Stickyman - superhero for hire - Pilot - PG-17

Ok this is my first cartoon and I would love to get peoples feedback on it. I am going for TV with this and I realize it could be much better than it is but I had to stop and get some feedback after working on this for so long and waiting for music sync forms to be approved and all that jazz.

Of all the video sites Myspace is the only one that would play the whole 24 minutes of my pilot so I put it there in one piece.

If you like it please tell me what you thought.

If anyone can recommend another place to post about my cartoon that would be much appreciated. Hope you get a laugh out of it at least.

It's on the left side of my main page.

the animation is good, the sound is good, i like it.

but, if you intend this to be for TV you should work as much on the writing as on the cartoon.

the main thing i would do, at least for the first few shows, is i would get rid of the text starwars style intro.

i was about 10 minutes in to the cartoon before i realized he was a hero, i was about 12 minutes in until i found out he sticks to things. i think people should be informed of that from the start, people watch TV to be spoon fed some fantasy so they can relax and escape their own reality for a while.

as for the animation, the only thing i would change would be the main characters hair, the shots of him from behind where it is just a black ball seem like a very obvious effort to save on time spent drawing. even if you just add in say a little pale spot like if light is touching it. the afro look is good, dont change that, just give it some tiny minor detail.

as for the audio, change the voice of the guy/thing with the bucket on his head, the voice reminds me way too much of the jewish chemist on family guy, every time i hear him i think of family guy and thus im no longer actually ''in'' the cartoon. you know, like when someone in a movie says the name of the movie in the movie, it makes you very aware that you are watching a film. or like when an actor looks directly in to the camera, it brakes the fantasy. so i dunno what you could do, he obviously needs to have a weedy weak voice. just play with it a bit or something.

the only other thing i would say, it it seems to be a little slow, not much, just a tiny bit. its fine for the internet, but if you want to get this on TV i would suggest you raise the tempo about 5% to 10%

in closing, as the cartoon stands now, i would gladly sit down on my couch late at night and watch two or three episodes of it. maybe its because the pace is a tiny bit slow, but for some reason i imagine it as a late show. maybe on at say 2am on paramount or some comedy channel, just after Dr. kats or something.

oh yea. and if people phoning him is going to be a regular on going thing, maybe look in to starting every call with a split screen before you start swaping back and forth between conversation location.

hope it helps, be sure to let me know when the next episode is out.
