    Converting SWF to FLA

    Hi,
I recently lost all my files from my flash web sites, because my hard drive got messed up, and i just want to ask if anyone knows of ANY programs that could convert SWF's back to FLA's or any programs that would fixed corrupted FLA files ??? (i recovered the files from the hard drive but they dont work, it says "unexpected file format".
I'd really appreciate any help, thanks a lot

There's no way to recover the FLA from an SWF (the FLA format is not open so only MM knows for certain how to write it).

There are some utilities that will let you extract resources (including your ActionScript) from the SWF file. It's not a full recovery, but if the alternative you're facing is a total loss, this solution is better than nothing.

Here are links to some tools that will help.

    ActionScript Viewer http://buraks.com/asv/
    Flash Toolset http://www.flashtoolset.com/FTS/index.html
    Liatro SWF Decoder http://www.liatro.com/product/swf.php

I'm not sure if any of these guys offer Mac support, but if you have access to a Windows box you can do all the work there, the SWF file is the same for both systems and the resources you pull out will be too.
