Thread: clear a tint from an MC using actionscript?

  1. #1

    clear a tint from an MC using actionscript?

    Code:
    myColor = new Color(myMovie);
    myColor.setRGB(0xFFFFFF );
    I've used this code to change the tint of an MC so it's white... (to cover up a picture so it's a silhouette)

    But, I don't know how to do the reverse of this and have it "turn off" the tint?

    You will have to make a variable store the original color, then re use part of the same script again.

    I don't think you can, you will have to use a movieclip over whatever you want to change, place them both in a movieclip and that becomes a object. That way you can hide a color movieclip to reveal the original using _alpha..

    ahh, thats why when i tried the set transform it didn't work, i had 0 where it should have been 100. Learn something everyday, i though applying a color couldn't have been permanent.
