Anybody know anything about laptops!!!!?? Please Help!

Hi,

I am looking for a new laptop and have a price range of around £700 - £900

By far the best I've found so far is the
MICROSTAR
AMD ATHLON XP+ 2500 CD / DVD-RW LAPTOP
MICROSTAR 2765

from Pcworld.co.uk , it also has a dvd rewriter.

I'm sure there must be some kinda catch though - Its a very cheap price. Are microstar laptops terrible?

I want a laptop with firewire, cdrw. Are there any powerful laptops that fall into this range? for aboud my price range.

Should I go for the microstar?

The specs look half-decent, though I like Pentium products better.

Sure, I mean Microstar? Never 'eard of 'em, but really, it's the insides that count more than the name on the outside of the package.

Check deeply into the spcs of the other stuff (especially video card, certainly no lessthen 32Mb, preferably 64Mb, optimum 128Mb), and check the warranty - who are Microstar and what's their policy on parts/labour and where's the closest guy who supports them.
