    I really don't believe the credability of this "company". They seem to give an award to anybody, so lets put them to the test.

    The company is Wellington Web Works, based 30 minutes from my house, in Wellington Florida. [ http://www.wellingtonwebworks.com/ ] [formerly CitraCom.com] I used to work there my senior year of high school. I also made that site several years ago, which they still use. Its a little company that used to be somewhat big with one of the higher ranked pay per click search engines. But now most of the programmers quit and the co. has turned to crap. Its become more of a joke than a company, which is fine by me, b/c the owner spent his entire life swindling ppl and ripping them off.

    I remember a few months ago they had someone buy like 30 memberships with stolen CC #'s. They knew that they were stolen, but charged them anyway. I got my older brother a job there, and he still works thier and tells me all these hilarious things.

    Anyway, yeah, golden web awards, along with its some odd 10 sister sites [ diamond web awards, junior web awards] are all a scam to get ppl's money, in turn putting them in the running for an award, and ultimately they win. About a year ago it used to be our little 17 year old secretary in the back picking them, which was somewhat legitimate, now, since she quit, it just randomly picks members and sends them spam.

    Its pretty funny how many ppl know about it though and how many ppl hate it. Im quite ashamed yet quite proud
    maybe.

    No-Tec's description is just about how I imagined it to be.

    I hate the Golden Web Awards. Actually, I hate web awards. End of story. If you need some validation that badly, go and do some volunteer work.
