    How can I keep my images a fixed size?

    I did some work in Flash and had the work distributed on a CD ROM.
    I made a standalone Flash projecter file.

    The problem is: the work looks fine on my flat screen 15" monitor.
    When you take the work to a different size monitor... the work looks a bit out of place. : (

    How can I force Flash to keep the correct size?
    I read that you can do this in Flash MX.
    (But I can't remember where I saw it!)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    fscommand("allowscale", "false") will keep your stage set at the size you designed it

    Thanks for the reply.
    I'm not sure that will work.

    You've got to remember that my work is given away on a CD.
    My movie is 1024 x 768 for example.
    Now, the problem is, when someone with a different screen resolution plays my movie, it comesout 'wonky'.
    The movie itself is set to play in full screen.

    I'll definitely try out what you said.

    Any other suggestions?

    The allowscale command tells Flash to play your movie at 1024x768 (the size you designed it at) no matter what display settings the user has. The only time I can think of that might cause a problem is when the user has their screen set to something smaller than 1024x768, because the player window can't be bigger than the physical screen.

    Hi Northcode,

    I tried this, but it does not let the movie play fullscreen, just plays a movie in a box with the desktop (or any other program that is open) behind it.

    Can a movie be played full screen and be scaleable?

    These commands tell Flash to make the projector window fill the screen, but the actual stage size should be fixed at whatever size you designed it for.

    fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    fscommand("allowscale", "false");

    If you want to fill the screen and have the stage scaled to match the window (strecthed or shrunk accordingly) then you can use these commands...

    fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
    fscommand("allowscale", "true");
