controling cpu utilization in FLASH
Is it possible to controll how much of the CPU a flash movie will consume? I am looking to have a background movie that uses very little CPU time while the forground movie uses mostly all the cpu.
Alternativly, can a movie be put into a "sleep" mode?
Thanks,
Jeff

The boardroom is not the forum to ask these questions. This forum deals mainly with business practices and not programming techniques. You might try asking in the Scripting and Backend or Actionscript forums (only one though as cross-forum posting is not allowed).

An Inconvenient Serving Size
Daninko is correct, you should have this in another forum, but just as an idea, in the XP Task Manager (if you have XP) if you choose 'Performance', you can see the work rate of your CPU, and for example, I can tell when I have a movie that is looping (for example onClipEvent) because the performace never drops below 30/35%, or if I have a tween using a rasterized photo, it shoots up to 100% of capacity.
Just a thought.
Hmm, there are desktop mini apps that can do this too, as I remember.
