hmmm none of them are really revolutionary things, merely continuations of existing developments.

    Jet Engine
    Microchips
Can't think of a deserving third right now

    The George Washington Bridge

It was designed so the towers could be jacked apart to add a lower deck. Decades later, when they did add it, the original calculations held true down to less than an inch.

That and the Chrysler building. The Empire State is just butt-ugly compared to it.

Ditto, apart from the Empire State Building. The Chrysler building is much nicer.

the calculator and computer are both older than 100 years. However the transistor, which made them a wee bit smaller and more powerfull, showed just over 50 years ago.

the chrysler building is amost a little to bling bling compared to the empire state building.

the vanguish is beautifull as is the e-type jag.

-Geodesic Math - One of Buckminster Fuller's greatest contributions was a new way of doing the math for stresses. He was able to reduce it to whole numbers that you could do in your head. It was only after this that he did the geodesic dome. Unfortunately, the math techniques didn't catch on and don't get used. But now we have

Boy it went from industrial designs to mathematical, philosophical, and biological.

In that respects, I think you'd have to say that:

    Penecilin
    Small Pox Vaccine
    Nuclear Power
    Refrigeration
    Electricity
    Telephone
    etc.

    are among the most important.
