lookin for a topic

Hello!

I am a Engg student of Comp Sci and am planning to participate in a Technological Competition.
Therefoore, I am looking out for a topic in Flash so as to create a project on it. I have a week's time so please suggest accordingly.

Help me with ur valuable suggestions

What do you mean?

If I was to say masking, would you then create a Flash movie all about the finer points of masking in Flash?

I recently did that. Create a component with only createTextfield, where a scrollbar can be attached, when you set the field smaller than text or where the scrollbar is not visible when the textfield is big enough. I have attached a demoversion of it. Of course I am not giving out the fla

Your demo is pretty cool, but really, it's very simialr to the scrolling component already in MX, right.

Except that it's probably lighter (kb-wise) and easier to adjust, and of course, the big one, it doesn't add 111 pieces to your library.

I think the neatest feature is the scrollbar going invisible when it's not needed. That's a sweet touch. Again, similar to the MX component, but all the same, nicely executed.

And you don't want to share the .fla because...



Hey, cancerinform - I've had an idea. I'll trade you a link to a .zip that evidently contains a way to set up a javascript/flash combo that will action the browser back button just like a regular html page, but with Flash, if you let me have the .fla for your scrollbar setup. I haven't tried the files I mention, but they come from a reliable source.

back to topic:

I´d do something about masking or MCs since I love MCs more than anything else. Filesize would be a cool topic, too IMO.
