    JS eval issue help?

    I'll add ten gazillion to the post count of the first person who can solve this.

    Anyone know how to do this?

    var evStr = "document.featureForm." + featureFormField + ".value = " + varMonth + "/" + thevalue + ";";
    eval( evStr );

    I need the "/" to not be eval'd as a division operator. I've tried char entities and escapes but nothing seems to work. Might could anyone help a poor lonely webmaster in heat, I mean in need?

    I believe they changed the field to real, or something like that.

    All solved. For anyone that may be curious later, I switched it around a bit.

    var updFormField = eval( "document.featureForm.feature_" + clientid + "_" + sectionid );
    updFormField.value = varMonth + "/" + thevalue + "/" + myear;

    Figured out the above way, thanks to: http://www.codestore.net/store.nsf/u...2?OpenDocument

    So does that means http://www.codestore.net/store.nsf/u...2?OpenDocument gets ten gazillion added to their post count?

    lol. Thanks Mr P. I've been around the boards for a while, but I actually never thought of S&B as covering clientside scripting.

    Maybe you guys should change the name or something.
