    Linking Text ?

    Hi,

    It's been awhile . . . . but just bought Swishmax.

I'm having a weird problem or maybe I'm just doing this wrong but . . .

I was just trying the new Swish out and was doing a simple linking to text thru a button.

I got it to work once and then I can't get it to work again . . . I did it the same exact way several times but still nothing

Just a simple "enter" button with "on release" got to Fr.6 and "on rollout" go to Fr.1.

    I don't even get a link ?

Is there something I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks for any help with this.

Well I just made the button in Swish 2 and works perfectly . . . so I tried to copy it and paste it into Swishmax . . . .Works perfectly . . . but text not as clear as the original I made in Swishmax . . . . also I noticed that most text have D - B - I ( Device font, Bold, Italic )lightened out and can't be used . . . . .

But when I pasted the button from Swish 2 into Swishmax . . . .The D-B-I all came up and now I can choose them . . but only with the Text I pasted into Max.

Not sure what all this means so any help would be cool.

    Thanks again.

Type your text and then place it where you want it to appear.
Now group it in a Sprite ! Name that sprite Group. Now on the timeline of the sprite group put a stop at frame 5 and 20.
Then put a place on your text at frame ten.
    Now make a link.
    To Add
    On event tell target Group
    to go to frame 10
    To remove
    On event tell target Group
    to go to frame 1

I don't know if I understood your question --Did this help !

    Thanks for the reply rhellstrom

I tried that as well . . .I tried even the old fashion way with two identical text and no luck.

I've designed many web sites including my own http://www.ljpro1.com

So I know it's a simple thing to do but I'm not sure if they have the new Swishmax set up differently or something

    It's such a weird thing

At the bottom their a sample named sprite if you haven't already figured it out. After looking at your site I was kind of sure you would have( nice site } but if not, here's a sample.
