    My Author's Site

    Hi all...I created this site using a SWiSHsites template (Metro). I also enhanced portions of the site using SWiSHmax. The purpose of the site is to provide a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into writing and publishing a book, and to promote my first novel, entitled "The Far-Away Hearts Club." Thanks for checking it out, and for any input you may have!

    Here's the URL:

    Not bad at all man

    its not my cup of tea (design/atmosphere wise) but u did a great job on that. Im a fan of the modern designs eh, but i can totally appreciate what u made, its a simplistic yet well set up website. The music you have suits it really well and the transitions are really nicely done. I rarely see websites on here that can keep with the same "style" and not clash there colors or objects. But you definitly did that real well gj man.

    Thanks!

    I appreciate your input...it means a lot, considering that the site design isn't your preferred style. Thanks for taking the time to give me feedback!

    One of the smoothest flowing visual Swish
    presentations I've seen. The atmosphere
    (colors and music) fits really well with
    the overall content.

    My only minor suggestions:
    1. Change the background color of the
    loading screen (if it's possible) from
    gray to a light blue or green. It'll fit
    better with the overall color theme.
    2. You might want to change the background
    of the HTML page to something other than
    gray. (I guess I just don't like gray. )
    White or maybe light blue? Hehehe I dunno.
    3. Center your SWF on the html vertically.
    It'll give a nicer balance to the site.

    Overall, great work!!

    Very nice site

    You might want to consider moving the ENTER to a more visible area...maybe near the loading part.

    I noticed the mouseover sound on the links are slow to react.

    Good Luck!

    Excellent site!

    Each time I come to this forum to see the new sites, I can't resist the urge to stop by and look at this site again.

    Beautiful

    First I want to say that it is refreshing to see something like this site. Very nice and soothing. I agree that the background should be something other than grey though. Also you should take out the scroll bar as it is not being used. You can do that with this code in your html file, Of course changing the FFFFFF to whatever your background colour is:
    <STYLE><!--

    body

    {

    scrollbar-face-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-shadow-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-highlight-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-3dlight-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-darkshadow-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-track-color:#FFFFFF;

    scrollbar-arrow-color:#FFFFFF;

    }

    --></STYLE>

    Wonderful work!
