I asked about email forms the other day and this is a response I got.
I don't use email forms or a php server so I just created the form
to pass away a little time.
If you notice in the thread -- Brinkster was brought up, which is an Asp server.
You may want to repost and ask about using ASP with forms either here or at
http://www.swishzone.com/forums/index.php?
Sorry I couldn't offer any further insight.

Honestly, as I understand it, whether asp is 'popular' or not, it will work with swish inside a browser situation.
Try it with simple stuff first: make sure you can read/write a variable to swish from/to asp; see if you can make asp write a file to the server for picking up by swish, etc.
Just because no one else is doing it doesn't mean you can't.
That said, yes, php is getting huge. The triumvirate: php, mysql and swishmax!
