    Requirements to run .exe

My client wants me to include a list of requirements that a machine would need to run the exe i've created. It will play from a cd, and has both sound and video...the total file size is almost 25mbs... no other applications are needed but i need to give specs as far as the machine...how does this sound:

    Optimum:
    Cd-drive (8x readable?)
    pentium 3 processor
windows 2000 or xp operating system
    at leaset 256mb ram
    200mb free hard drive space????
    Audio capabilities

Check the MM web site for min system requirements for the standalone player. That should give you a good starting point.

those are the authoring requirements, and what programs are needed to view an swf... i searched a lot on their site and didnt find anything for what was needed for an .exe I gave the client the specs for authoring figuring it was better to give specs for a more powerful machine than a less powerful one... theyre only guidlines anyhow

Thanks for all your time though

There's a playback section there too where they list the supported/required browsers. They used to have more specific machine requirements I think, it looks now like the implication is that if the browser runs, the player works. I'd err on the side of safety and peg the requirements just a bit lower than the authoring specs. The Windows machine they list there is probably an $800 machine now (if that) with a monitor
