    MX2004 combobox question

    Lets try this again...
I had read somewhere that the combobox component in MX2004 has all the capabilities of the smart combobox built in. By smart combobox, i mean as the user types into the text input of the combobox, the list portion begins to highligh the closest match as he/she continues typing.

How do you turn this feeature on, assuming it is there.
I have the script to make on, supplied by Freddy Codes at actionscripts.org, but if this does it automatically somehow, that sames some time.

    thanks,

Yeah it's super simple actually. It's the editable value. Set it to true in the property manager.

Oh and your posts aren't being boycotted, the posters here don't like MX04

thanks for the reply. No dice, man. I change it to editable, and i can type it data, but the combobox does not auto-highlight.
    Any other ideas?

    PS-
    - i got 15 days left on the trial, i figure i use it until it dies, then make a final decision after that time. Wodner why everybody seems to hate it? Yeah, its a bit different, but so far, so good.

ummm yes you are correct. I guess I was too soon to speak. You must need to write some sort of change handler for it. wish I could help more but coding isn't my strong suit.
