Thread: can someone please answer this...

    ok i had a picture i made in Adobe Photo Shop 5.0, and i used the Render>Lens Flare thing in it, but when i flatten the pic and save it as a bmp, as the flare fades out or whatever the quality is just really crappy, it isnt as "smooth" i guess as it was in photoshop
    (if u dont know what i mean just try it and u will see)

    and if i open it in flash it looks good in that, but when i export as image or movie it still looks crappy, is there anything i can do about this?? thanks

    Try saving it as a png or jpeg. Then it should look better in a .swf

    In Flash you can set the quality of JPGs as well.
    It should be somewhere in the Preferences as I recall.

    I've read in a couple of Flash publications that png's are the best method to import. Go to file, save a copy, the save as .png (and use the defaults).

    speaking of jpges....any of you guys has seen the site for yigal azrouel...his site, correct me if im wrong, is the winner of the world flash contest...and he is using image..and he use it a LOT !!....,yet, the file size is not too big too load...i wonder what format he use ??..

    any of you know , well share it then
