    700x525 flash image looks choppy

    Hi,

My clients gave me this image, 700 wide 525 high. They want me to flash it. So I started by having it 100% transparent and very small, and tweened it to no transparency and regular size. Its choppy when it moves, because it's so big.

Any advice on what I can do to make it smoother? I guess I'm going to go play now with bringing it in, in smaller pieces.

    Em

Either use a graphics prog to down the quality, thus downing the size of the pic, or load in the picture at runtime with the loadMovie() or loadMovieNum() function. The picture has to be a jpg for this to work.

Can you explain what you mean by "load the picture at runtime" ?

    Gracias :-)

Before I begin to explain, do you know how to load in other swf files into your movie?

I have done a loadmovie in class. So if that's what you mean by it, then yes, I know.

well basically, you can load in a jpg picture just like you can an swf. Try loading in a jpg and it should keeps its original quality.
