    html and embedded fonts

I have two questions about embedded fonts.

    (1) is it possible to have an embedded font appear without antialiasing? and (2), I noticed that when I use the bold tag with an embedded font in an html-enabled text field, it does not appear bold even if I have the bold version embedded. Is it possible to make the bold tag work with an embedded font? Thanks!

Only if you use MX2004, then if you use the Alias Text option (in the properties inspector) for a textfield the embedded font will appear without anti-aliasing.

This thread http://www.actionscript.org/forums/s...threadid=35611 describes a technique to to get bold HTML text to display.

Before MX2004, the only way would be to use an embedded pixel font, which even if embedded and under certain other restrictions, would remain sharp and crisp, giving the text an aliased look.
Bold would be possible if the font did have bold outlines.
