    saving text to a text file

    I no this is probably very easy!

    but can some one tell me how to save text to a text file from flash,

    I can read in text but want to edit text then save it back to the txt file.

    Can't be done through Flash alone. You need some server side scripting (ASP, PHP, CGI...), to save the text file.
    With projector files, you can use 3rd party software, such as...
