I agree with you totally. The dude just doesnt get the point. He said he is a 'flash developer'. Developers are not always designers, I rest my case. If you are a TRAINED designer, then you will understand the art behind the flash. The art comes first, then the development, not the other way around.

I'm a Flash designer and boy are you mixed up. You think the art comes first? Thats a dead give away that you have never worked a day in your life.

I already said the animation was great. The rest I dont care for.

Please enjoy the site. Its ok also to not like it.

That made me laugh so hard I almost cried. Never worked a day in my life....lol! You know nothing!

You obviously have not been to Art School, and thats okay. Just dont make statements like that when you dont know what you are talking about. Ive been in the design industry for 9years buddy, and Ive used flash from the beginning. When I say the art comes first I mean the concepts, the vision behind the functionality. Thats my point. You are naive to think the art comes secondary to it. Thats why theres so many poor sites around. The good ones are the ones that focus on the art first.

Started in 94' huh? Let me guess in high school right? I have a BA in Art and I work for Autodesk. Look and feel are certainly considerations in the functionality and architecture stages. You almost have it right. Well no your a total moron.

Look dude you attacked me and your looking like a little dope kid so just stop, OK? I will unsubscribe if that helps.

I am perfectly happy liking pieces of art, music. movies food etc..that others don't like. I dont get bent out of shape when they dont like what I like. Sorry If I dont find paper dolls fu$king and people playing with each-others heads interesting or even creative. I find it stupid. I like a LOT of different kinds of music and art. I am very open minded about it. Over time that site will annoy me even more. You find merit in it and thats all you need to worry about.

    yes what is Autodesk?

cwflash, I don't mean to be rude but if you could just calm down maybe we could talk about what you find so dislikeable about it. Swearing is not really needed to emphasise your viewpoint on the site. What is your view on it anyway, it seems as if at first you admired the video in it and now you are slowly moving away from the idea.

I like how the movement of the figures is executed and the way that it is sped up to reach a certain section with content. I think that the actual "plot" is not so much important but it does reflect the designers style.

Abstract art is always challenging the viewer with some kind of hidden message (almost always anyhow) maybe you just can't see this one?

Can't we all just get along?!?

I thought the site was brilliant, as are the creators peronal sites.

I think one of the biggest challenges for making an amazing site is originality, which these guys nail with their work each time. If the message cries for something funky and deconstructive, work it, if the message cries for something typical and mundane like 98% of us (me included) do, then great too.

Art comes first, has to, program later, design is all about art and this site is about that in my opinion. I love it. Art is about communicating a message, whatever the message may be, from the voice of the artist/desginer. These guys chose this voice... so nicely done.

Heard of AutoCAD ? or 3DStudio MAX ? Combustion? Cleaner? Plasma? They are a very large but very cool design software company in 32 countries. I create online training or them using Flash and a bunch of other software.

I am actually feeling very calm (which I dont like, not good for the creative side) I feel embarrassed when people that are suppose to be my peers have no clue about the actual process involved in making a successful project. I dont know if you are in the job market but it sucks for a lot of people that are in your field right now. I want my field to be full of knowledgeable designers that have a clue about the process. That way we can all charge the big bucks and make a living out of this! Like I am fortunate enough to be doing right now.

My opinion has not changed from when I first saw it. I really don't like it when people dismiss others work as crap just cause they dont like the content or find it meaningless. So...I do appreciate the huge effort and creativity involved in that site. I also appreciate the technical aspects of it. The rest is well, blaaa, as far as I am concerned.

i have not heard one intelligible thing from you or anyone else why this is site is so inspirational to you? Beyond: "it made my day" "it was cool" "I like the porno!" Then maybe I can glean the deeper meaning of this art piece.

dont worry about it cwflash, i know i've seen my share of sites that i didnt like but everyone eltse seemed to think was amazing...
i just like the site because its such a strange dream-like atmosphere, wich you really dont see much of on the web... also i think it would be pretty hard technically to acheive the speeding up/slowing down of the navigation smoothly like that, so thats why i like it, but everyone has their own opinions.

Cant say I liked the site that much either. Cut outs reminded me of the centre of the world site hi Rez did yrs ago. More chicks on that site too, much better execution overall. I liked a link on there more than I did that site:

    http://www.martin-h.com/

    Autodesk(Think AutoCAD & Discreet products):

    http://www.autodesk.com or http://www.autodesk.co.uk etc etc

A architect might like this type of site more....

    This is very cool: www.knoll.com
Nice product too. I guess I am more attracted to things that have substance and a reality behind them even if it is an "artistic" site. Its actually much harder to present practical information artistically then it is to create something that is purely creative.

www.martin-h.com - this is nice too!

that wore me out, and chalk it up to my prudish sensibilities but I found it offensive.
