Great layout. Great navigation. I'm not really sure if Flash was necessary, but I loved this site. Really dig it.

When you see it detect for flash player, you expect something great. Then the splash page comes up, which looks pretty good too. But the site has nothing in it that required the usage of flash.
I don't like it. If it is a flash site, they should prove it. It doesn't even come close to one of those sites that use flash to the fullest.

Yeah, I actually said the same thing in my post, but I think that they decided to use Flash because it was what's BEST for the site. I went over it again, and for a visitor to get the most experience from using the site, I think that Flash really was necessary. The way that some of the content appears and disappears, etc, Flash is necessary for that. Sure, that's easy tricks in Flash, but using Flash to great effect is all about great design, which I think this site has. Again, I just really dig this site, it went straight to my fav folder.

Even though the site doesn't do that much, Flash can be a great asset for displaying content like that.
For one, you can load the entire site in one go, instead of the user seeing all the images load up seperatly. Secondly you can reduce the size of your site because of Flash's ability to compress files further.
Third, you can add little things that add a tiny bit of atmosphere that a HTML site wouldn't have like the sound effects (not that the ones used on this site were any good or enhanced the viewing).
And finally, some people prefer, like myself, to make sites in flash, not matter how simple they seem.

going off of what AZ said..
the opening animation made the site for me. It was so smooth and enjoyable. Just sets you up for a relaxing visit.

i don't think if u use flash u should have to 'prove it'... i mean in many cases a site will be much more bandwidth friendly with flash, as well as browser supportive. in this case, the person has some menu rollovers that could be done in all sorts of scripting...but i think its more of a "sure fire" plan to use flash (maybe export it on flash 4/5 if you can) than risk having browser errors, or mac/pc incompatibilities with scripting. those lower version flash players have some pretty good penetration and potential clients should definitely have some version of the flash player.
the only reason a site like this should be done in html is if it need high quality bitmap work. that looks better in just html.
anways, the site was nice. i think it would look better without the vertical lines in the image viewing section, but the rest was great.

That intro has "borrowed" quite a lot from the intro on www.8edge.com and audio snippets from 2A 25mgs.
Not that creative really.

Friendly fire ain't.
Nice, smooth experience, just not very memorable.
The lack of sadistically long transition sequences is inspiring.

Hmmm, I don't like knocking a successful team's work, because what do I know, but there was nothing comfortable about it, the mouse sound was annoying, there is no print portfolio, and the verbage throughout made you want to not-read, & typos abound. 2 buttons to view the client list, why? Just my thoughts.

Hmmm? A period. is a wonderful way to shorten and sentence, but then again what do I know, I am just one of those gringos, let me know when to enter that.
Jut feel if you talk crap, at least don't make the same mistake.

LOL Ellis, thanks for the heads up. There may be a difference between a published site and a message board entry though, and I ain't smart enough to catch all my mistakes on the first proofread. Nor *cough* am I alone.
Peace,
Cos
