    Hi all,

    I hope someone can help?

I am having a play with the 'load/unload movie'action. See link.

    http://www.instinctdesign.co.uk/loadtest.html

At first all seems OK...However my question is..
The graphicEQ.swf was loaded into level 1. The text of the origenal movie appears on top of this movie except for the animated wingding 'ball' which moves from left to right and slides under the transparent gif which is in the loaded movie..Why is this??

    Very Confused...

    Regards

    Rich

    very simple..

If you're loading the .swf on TOP of your original movie, ofcourse anything appearing in the original movie will be BENEATH the loaded one. your original movie is on level 0, your loaded movie on level 1, which is on top of it. if you want to avoid seeing the yellow ball appearing behind your loaded movie, simply remove the transparent background, and add a color the same as your original movie's background.

    Hope that helps..

    peace.

In your loaded swf (gif) place a webding (colored black) directly behind your image. This will give your gif a background.

    Silly old me!!

I can't believe how simple it was. The bars in graphicEQ.swf were set to 25%alpha!! and the gif wasn't, thats why the ball appears to go over the bars and yet go under the gif!

Just changed the gif to the same levels and all is OK.

Thankfully its just a test before I get too involved with the real movie..

Still embarrasing though! (well it is 1.38am)

    thanks bzed and velez,

    Cheers All,

    Rich
