need help interpreting site stats...

hey everyone, ive been doing the website for the small municipality i live in for about 5 months now. the person who commissioned me recently asked the big question, "how many hits have we gotten".
well, i've got my stats, but i don't know what i should tell him about them. here's what i'm working with:

its an extremely small community (less than 1 square mile in size) with a very large elderly population (not big websurfers). i don't have any exact population data, but i'd say the site is probably relevant to no more than 2-3,000 people.

here are my stats from 5/1/03-today:

what does this say about the site?

missing important information here

were is the diferenciation between visitors and unique visitors ??

first time and repeat visitors.

and the site stickyness of less then 2 minutes appears low to me for a municiple informative site.
