    Preloader starts too slow

    Hello,

I'm using this preloader and it works okay for my flash-movie:

The problem is that the preloader doesn't appear until 80% is already loaded. Here's the result if you're intrested:

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

If you are using embedded fonts and library items that are set to export in first frame all these elements have to load before any preloading sequence will start. In fact nothing will happen before all elements set to export in first frame are loaded. Eg. all the Macromedia UI components are set to export in first frame (I read in another thread that it is OK to disable that though).

This behavior probably accounts for most of your 80%.

    cheers

Thanks for the answer, that was actually the problem.

But, when I uncheck the "Export in first frame" for the UI-components and my own movies, they never gets loaded. I.e. I use the ScrollPane-component, if I uncheck those items I doesn't get a scrollpane.

The problem is that I need to use one .swf that loads another .swf, right? And not just another scene. *sigh*
