    rollovers within masked movie???

    Hi,

I am trying to build a pop out menu (movie clip) with an image mask on the pop out image (within same mc), over this is a sub menu. please see link

    http://www.puredesign.co.uk/pdf/test.asp

When I roll over the buttons (mcs with rollovers or actual buttons) within the sub menu it seems to trigger some kind of action and closes the submenu (see link)

Is there any reason why a rollover cannot work within another mc on rollover?

at the end of the motion tween of the background movie clip(the one with the disorder ), put a stop(); actionscript at the last frame.

that should stop the movei clip from playing..and playing....and playing....

I had a stop action on there before I realised I had a problem, the script is fairly simple, it seems to have a problem with having a mc with an onRoll function in a mc also with an onRoll function.

perhaps there raelly is a collision of the animations(tweens) executing there...

try fixing the movie clip areas...

but you can also try one without the other animation first...

been there, I dont think it has anything to do with the tween, it is firmly stopped before anything happens, I think I will try an 'old school' workaround, it has to go online tomorrow, send me your email address if you want to look at the source (has client info all over it)

    ps thanks for looking
