    Illustrator to Flash MX

    HI

I am trying to export a file (flattened) from ILL 10 to Flash MX. I know flash accepts the .eps format, but for some reason it it displays an error message after it is almost imported in flash saying that some of the file canot be understood.

    Anything?

    tried export .swf?

you can export .swf's from illustrator. file>export then choose .swf works good. takes some getting time to figure out when and where to use it.

sometimes i select the part or parts i want to bring into flash and paste em into a new illustrator doc then export. if it makes too many crazy symbols and i want my library to stay clean i import into a new flash doc. put all the symbols and junk in a library folder, then cut and pase into my main flash doc.

    hope that helps.

try saving the AI EPS file as version 7 (or earlier) and import from that, this normally works. I prefer this to exporting SWF as all the shapes are still seperate.
