is not a good designer.
well compared to any other color of the spectrum that is used in designing websites. blue is used mose often.
its not that blue is used alot.
-
blue has a more natural flow with black, gray and white than other colors do.
I bet if you look hard enough you can find more than those..
don't forget though.. the 2a site doesn't count, since they have revised it, if the trend is now blue, they are off blue... they start the trend then when everyone else uses it, they do something different.

there is a technology to colours
if eg the website was blood red in colour some ppl would feel a certain way and would nt spend alot of time there
if you look at businesses and the colours they use
fast food = reds and yellows
banks and solicitiors = blues and greens
blue is a safe trusting colour
green is a relaxing colour
red is danger or as used with fast food red = blood (primal urge for food) KFC, macdonalds and burger king all have masses of red in there signs
all the banks logos in the uk a few years ago were either green or blue hsbc changed to red and black and natwest has followed with a very dark blue and red
it should be interesting to see where they end up
