Open your EPS files back up in Illustrator and save them as SWF.

Please no pictures, I am just a kid.....LOL

try turning off the 'allow smoothing' option. Open up the library (hit F11) and then right click on the eps file and choose 'properties'. Then uncheck the box that says allow smoothing and click OK. Sometimes this helps get the eps back to normal.

saved it as a swf file and...

    toby,
was able to import it. i am wondering though, will it have the quality of a vector based file or a pixel based. it will be blown up pretty big so am worried about the quality being to low. looks like vector to me.

    tristan,
i also tried that smoothing thing just to see if it would work, but when i did it, right clicked to get properties there was not smoohthing option in the properties window.

i am in mx. dunno if it is different from your version or not. would like to try to get this method working though. any idea where else the smoothing thing might be?

thanks so much for your help!

    Ok

Why EPS? doesn´t JPG or GIF do the job?

On the other hand, please describe "messed up".

If you´re working with vectors, copying and pasting from Illustrator to Flash it wouldn´t give any "straight edges on the curves" problems (is this what messed up means?).

And if you´re working with bitmaps, which is what en EPS is (very much of the times), then the resolution you´re using is not the correct one.

    Hope this helps

    rzea,

it is messed up like worped or better yet like distorted. bigger in parts than it should be, a wierd graphic line going through it in odd place.

exporting as an swf in illustrator does work though. gif or jpeg would not work because the end product will be on a big movie screen and i dont want the quality to be too low. and a hi-quality jpeg would really slow me down to much in flash.

no gradient in this logo, bmarker

Well, then don´t scale your movie, this way your images will not stretch themselves and become pixelated, us the FSCommand to keep control over that, and that way you will also keep a good speed consistency along different types of computers.

But anyway, you already did it exporting as SWF
