    Who uses CreativeMoonlighter or Elance?

Does anyone here use http://www.creativemoonlighter.com or http://www.elance.com???

If so, what have been the results from using these bidding sites?

i've used Creative Moonlighter and i havnt gotten one project from it. Lots of the people using that service charge dirt cheep and all the clients there look at is price and not quality or reliability.

    Dunno bout Elance

So, I guess if you're starting out it'd be a good place to get a few projects in your portfolio while working for $5/hr. huh?

    That's what i thought. I think I'll head for Elance.com

Before you head off and start paying subscriptions to these companies, use the search function here and search for "elance". That will give you a wealth of information about Elance and all the others.

    Best wishes!

I'd say ditch the freelance sites and start networking in your area. Try to talk and meet, if possible, with local designers. The more you get your name around, there's a better chance of someone finding you to help them.

yup, i havent gotten one project from them either...I wouldnt agree to do most of the work anyways since it is at rock bottom rates and most of the good ones are already picked up by the premium members on the sites...word of mouth is better anyways cause people arent looking for a quick cheap fix.

I hired someone off of moonlighter

I hired someone off of moonlighter, I will tell you how that goes. Yes price was definately a consideration. Most important to me however was the location of the contractor and how well i could work with them.

I needed some php stuff done but it has not been done as of yet

I could be mistaken, but I think that the people here are looking to get jobs from these sites, not hire people at rock-bottom, desperation rates.

With that in mind, I don't quite understand the relevance of your post to this thread, but all the same, best of luck to you.
